A loud and continue grinding, whirring or squealing noise usually indicated that there is a fault with a gear motor at the back of the machine. Follow these steps to determine if this is the case.
Step 1
Ensure that the tanks are filled to the max fill level with the correct mixture of syrup and water.
Step 2
Turn on the machine. Allow the tanks to rotate until the noise is constant.
Step 3
Turn the rotation of the spirals off, one at the time, and listen for the noise stopping.
Step 4
If the noise stops it would indicate an issue with the gear motor which will probably need replacing.
If the noise does not stop then there could be an issue with the fan or even the compressor.
