Adding too much syrup to your machine can cause problems, here are some signs that your mixture may be too thick:
Extremes in temperature.
If you notice that your machine is reaching below -5°C and still not very slushy then it may indicate that your mix has too much syrup in it.
Too Watery.
If the mixture is down to -3°C and still still seems too watery it may suggest that your mixture is incorrect.
Freezing on the outside.
If ice is building up on the outside of the machine this could be because of your mixture having too much syrup in it. This will cause the temperature to drop below -3°C and ice will form on the outside of the tanks.
If any of the above to occurring we would recommend starting again with a fresh mixture. If not follow the guide below for how to thin your mixture.
Step 1
If you think your slush is too thick, like in the picture it is a simple task to correct.
Step 2
Working from the rear of the machine locate the adjustment indicator and adjustment screw above it for the tank you would like to change. Please note each tank has its own individual adjustment screw and indicator.
Step 3
To make the slush thicker, take a small flat screwdriver and turn the screw CLOCKWISE. You will notice the adjustment indicator moving upwards. Only allow the adjustment indicator to move 1/2 a notch at a time before waiting 1/2 hour to see if your slush consistency has improved. After waiting 1/2 hour further adjustments can be made accordingly.
